Traffic stop leads to ground and air search

Officers from the Nottawasaga OPP conducted a traffic stop on September 3, at 2:03 p.m. on Concession Road 7 of Adjala-Tosorontio.
At the time of the stop, the suspects fled from the vehicle and ran into the bush area. Police began a ground search, involving platoon members, Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, a K-9 Team and the OPP Helicopter.
The suspects left behind duffle bags containing cannabis marijuana which police have seized; a vehicle has also been seized from the traffic stop as part of the investigation.
The suspects were not immediately located at the time, but Nottawasaga OPP Officers are still investigating and arrests are imminent.
