Two major chain restaurants on the way for Angus

April 4, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The downtown section of Angus should see the opening of two major chain restaurants in the next year.

Essa council gave approval to the merger of three lots just south of the Mill Street and Cecil Street intersection on the west side of the road. The lots part of Plan 116 will be combined and their existing structures torn down to allow for the construction of a Crabby Joe’s restaurant and a Coffee Culture restaurant.

“I think that its good news for Angus and for the township. Its something that I know that I have heard from many residents of the area that we need a major restaurant in town,” said Mayor Terry Dowdall.

“I think that it may help encourage other businesses such as restaurants to look at starting up in Angus, particularly on Mill Street.”

“Its going to be great for the community,” said the mayor.
