Village Pizza granted noise by-law exemptions

Three requests for variances to the Noise By–Law of New Tecumseth have been granted to Bernice Augusto, owner of the Village Pizza & Baja Luna Lounge – for fundraising and community events throughout the year.
The pizzeria, located at 60 Queen Street South in Tottenham, will host its Annual Golf Tournament (at Woodington Lakes) followed by an evening reception on Saturday June 8. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer.
Augusto, who will have live entertainment for golfers following the event in her parking lot, has been granted a noise variance until midnight.
At the same time, Augusto has also applied for, and secured the right to have live music on her patio for Community Week festivities from Saturday July 5 – Saturday July 13, until midnight; and on Saturday December 7, for her Annual Christmas on the Patio, during and after the Christmas Parade in Tottenham, until midnight.
The OPP have been notified.
