The 2013 Simcoe Region ORHMA (Ontario Restaurant Hotel and Motel Association) Hospitality Awards will honour industry professionals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Simcoe County hospitality industry.
Simcoe Region ORHMA is proud to partner with Simcoe County Tourism, Chay Today 93.1FM and Barrie Restaurants.com to bring this exciting event to Simcoe County and help us celebrate the hospitality stars of our community.
The evening will feature a VIP cocktail reception followed by an interactive culinary experience consisting of food and wine tasting stations hosted by some of the finest chefs and restaurants in the county.
The highlight of the night will be the presentation of awards to establishments and industry professionals who have been nominated and recognized by their peers. In addition, the attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite dish of the night.
Proceeds raised from this event will go to creating scholarships for the students of The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation at Georgian College and strengthen the voice of tourism and hospitality in our region.
The 2013 Simcoe Region ORHMA Hospitality Awards will take place on Thursday April 25th at 5:30 p.m. at Casino Rama, Orillia.

• Favorite server: Adriana Medeiros – Nottawasaga Inn & Resorts
• Favorite bartender: Ann – Nottawasaga Inn & Resort, and Elaine – Nottwasaga Inn & Resort
• Favorite restaurant: Bistro Seven Seven
• Hospitality Manager of the Year: Frankie Emerson – Food and Beverage Manager (Nottawasaga Inn & Resort)
• Chef of The Year Award: James Day – Nottawasaga Inn & Resorts
Jason Klausen – Bistro Seven Seven
• Food Service and Hospitality Supplier of the Year Award: Roswitha Zitter – Roses Bread Basket
