Beeton councillor Richard Norcross wants to know what impact the realigning of ward boundaries has had on the municipality.
Norcross put forth a motion at last weeks committee of the whole meeting asking town staff to prepare a report on the affect of the ward boundary changes as of the 2010 election.
Mayor Mike MacEachern said that a full assessment would normally take place after one whole council cycle – or in 2014.
“We’re supposed to see if it was affective,” said Norcross, before council voted on his motion, which passed.
The clerk is expected to prepare a report for a future committee meeting.
Currently the municipality of New Tecumseth is represented by eight ward councillors plus a mayor and deputy mayor.
