Simcoe–Grey MPP, Jim Wilson, made a Member’s Statement in the Legislature on September 19th.
Wilson called on the government to making provincial funding available for the redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston.
“Mr. Speaker, Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston requires provincial health care dollars so it can proceed with a redevelopment project that involves a new emergency department, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging and laboratory,” Wilson said. “The hospital is in dire need of more room so it can continue to provide the top-notch care it’s so well known for.”
Wilson thanked hospital staff and the hospital board for getting Stevenson Memorial ready to expand. He called on the government to make redevelopment dollars available without delay.
Recently, Wilson launched a petition calling on the government to provide the funding that’s needed. People wanting to sign the petition can find a copy of it at www.jimwilsonmpp.com or copies are available at the Alliston constituency office. Petitions must contain original signatures.
