Great coffee, great cause! Donate your McCafé® loyalty cards to support local health care!

MacKinnon Restaurants, local owners of McDonald’s in Alliston and Angus, are excited to announce that every full McCafé® Loyalty Card dropped in collection boxes at those locations will result in a $2 donation to support Transforming Stevenson Campaign: Our First Step to Redevelopment (launching in April).
The McCafé® Loyalty Card program is currently operating at the McDonald’s locations in Alliston and one in Angus; and will contribute $2 from each McCafé® Loyalty Card that is returned to McDonald’s allowing their customers to enjoy hot beverages, while supporting local health care at Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
MacKinnon Restaurants has been a longtime supporter of Stevenson Memorial Hospital, with over $55,000 being given through the McCafé® Loyalty Card Program and the annual McHappy Day. The original McCafé® Loyalty Card program was introduced at a $1 contribution per card six years ago, and has now been doubled by MacKinnon Restaurants.
“The continued commitment from Rory and Marlene MacKinnon and the dedicated McDonald’s staff towards driving the campaign will help to transform health care for our local residents and their loved ones,” remarked Margaret Barber, Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation board chair.
The McCafé® Loyalty Cards Program works by customers collecting a stamp with each purchase of a hot beverage from your local McDonald’s restaurant. Once the card is filled, customers can donate their “free coffee” back to the community by dropping off the cards at their local Alliston and Angus McDonald’s locations.
Past contributions from MacKinnon Restaurants have provided so much to Stevenson Memorial Hospital, and each and every patient that uses our vital hospital services. MacKinnon’s support is helping Stevenson to reach the goal of funding equipment such as the CT Scanner, and several pieces of laparoscopic operating equipment, including a new laparoscopic tower and other laparoscopic technology. The laparoscopic equipment provides so many benefits to patients. Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), gynecological procedures, and other surgical procedures will be done with less risk, and patients will experience a more comfortable, as well as faster recovery period. The CT Scanning provides three-dimensional images of internal organs and bones, and it is considered to be the standard of care for emergency or trauma diagnosis.
Without the help of this program from McDonald’s and the local business community, critical equipment purchases would not be possible. The McCafé® Loyalty Cards charitable program is running now at McDonald’s locations (Alliston and Angus).
