Ward 6 Beeton councillor Richard Norcross flips burgers like a pro with help from Gord Babcock, and Town of New Tecumseth mayor, Rick Milne.

The 34th Annual Meet Your Neighbour Picnic, held Aug. 20 in the Beeton Fairgrounds, was met with beautiful weather and a great turnout. This family friendly event had something for everyone, beginning with a pancake breakfast cooked by local volunteer firefighters and a 3-pitch softball tournament. There was also a Sunday church service, day long barbecue and a vendor marketplace, as well as kids entertainment and Darts in the Park.
A silent auction, benefitting the Our Town Food Bank, was also held in the Rotary Hall. Auction items included a Heineken beer fridge donated by Boston Pizza Alliston, and a car detailing package donating by Trillium Ford.
The Beeton-Tottenham BIA stage featured live music by Beeton’s very own Wes Martyn. The traditionally free corn roast and bike draw ended the day. Add in face painters, and of course your neighbours, and the Meet Your Neighbour Picnic was a day of pure pleasure in the park.
Princesses and dancers, Tanisha Joseph (as Tiana from Princess and the Frog), Emily Aube (as Snow White), Morgan Middleton (as Cinderella), and Cordelia Mondolo (as Aurora from Sleeping Beauty) represent The Dance Connection Inc., serving New Tecumseth and owned by Kim Engel, and delight park goers during the 34th annual MYNP.
