Visitors to Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston will no longer be require to show proof of vaccination when entering the hospital.
The new rules came in effect on July 5.
Active screening is still taking place, however the process has changed.
Any patient coming into the Emergency Department can go directly to the Triage area where COVID-19 screening questions will be asked.
All other patients, visitors, or support people will be screened at the screening desk at the main hospital entrance during daytime hours.
From the hours 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., screening will take place in the registration area.
All patients and visitors including support people are still required to wear a mask.
Even if you arrive wearing a mask, you will be asked to used one provided by the hospital when you enter.
The hospital asks for the public’s understanding and cooperation as they continue to navigate h COVID-19 pandemic.
