A taste of the Caribbean in Alliston’s newest kitchen

November 25, 2021   ·   0 Comments

If you like the flavour of Caribbean cuisine, Alliston’s newest restaurant take-out has got the full menu of island-inspired fare.

The Flavor Kitchen has opened on Church Street and offers island style food.

Currently offering take-out and catering services, the restaurant held a grand opening on Thursday, November 18.

Restaurant owners Norris and Nuella Samuels have a lot of experience in the food industry.

Norris has been cooking Caribbean fare for over 30 years.

“We opened a week ago,” Norris said at the grand opening. “We offer take out and catering. It’s all Caribbean, West Indian food. We’re doing the whole region. We mix it up a bit.”

The menu features curry, jerk chicken, ox-tail, and similar authentic Caribbean food.

“We do catering in big batches, and we also do pastas and things like that,” Norris explained.

There are no tables for indoor dining, at least not yet, but patrons can drop in and order take-out food. Once the pandemic is over, there is the possibility of putting in some tables for in store dining.

The restaurant is a welcome addition to the growing food industry in Alliston which has a variety of different restaurants serving food from around the world.

The Flavor Kitchen is open five days a week, from Wednesday, to Sunday.
