Abilities in Motion will again host its annual regatta at Earl Roe Provincial Park just outside of Alliston.

The regatta provides the public with an opportunity to learn about the not-for-profit organization and enjoy a day out on the lake.

Abilities in Motion promotes inclusive paddling and provides people with physical disabilities and mental challenges the opportunity to get out on the water and enjoy paddling.

The organization built a boat house at Earl Rowe Park several years ago to store their kayaks and canoes. The location also serves as a meeting place and organization headquarters.

The Big Canoe is a popular experience at the regatta. It can hold up to 15 people who paddle out onto the lake.

This year’s regatta will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at 9 a.m. and running to 1:00 p.m.

Anyone can come out and enjoy the event.

However, if you go online to the Abilities in Motion website and register, you won’t have to pay an admission fee to enter the park.

The day will be an opportunity to see what Abilities in Motion is all about while enjoying the experience of getting out on the water and paddling.
