On Wednesday August 9th, at 8:30 a.m., as part of an on-going joint investigation, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Grey-Bruce and Owen Sound City Drugs and Intelligence Unit, conducted a traffic stop at Hwy 6 and Grey Road 18, Rockford.
During the traffic stop, police located and seized a quantity of drugs including heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and $2470 Canadian Currency. The approximate street value of the controlled substances is valued at approximately $12,750.
As a result, 38 year old David MAY of Adjala–Tosorontio Township has been arrested and charged with:
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drug
• Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Additionally, 39 year old Richard Lloyd Micks of Brockton, ON has been arrested and also charged with:
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drug
• Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana
• Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Both accused will be held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday August 10.
