Alliston BIA cancels weekly farmers market

The Alliston Farmer’s Market will not be happening this year.
The Alliston BIA made the announcement on May 26. It did not cite a reason as to why the weekly market will not take place.
Thanking supporters who have attended the market over the years, the Alliston BIA posted on social media, “This decision was not easy and truly heartrending.”
For local residents who enjoy shopping local and appreciate local produce and other products, there are still opportunities to shop at various local markets and farms.
The Tottenham summer market takes place every Sunday afternoon at Keogh Park in Tottenham. This market features a variety of vendors, with different ones every week.
You can also visit local farms for fresh products.

- Murphy’s Farm Market & Bakery – 5141 County Rd. 10, Alliston
- E.F.T. Farms – 5420 10th Sideroad, Innisfil
- Maple Grove Farms – 936215 Airport Rd., Mulmur
