It is a fairly new activity that has been gaining popularity across North America.

Cornhole uses beanbags that are tossed at a raised board with a hole in it. The goal is to toss the beanbag into the hole or knock another one into it.

Players compete for points in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

The Alliston Cornhole Club is hoping to attract new players by introducing a Developing Players division.

The Club announced that they will be starting “a relaxed, no-pressure space designed just for those who are learning the game or building confidence. If you’re new to joining us but have experience playing, let us know and together we’ll find the sport best for you.”

The new developing player competition will feature separate sets of boards for new players, the option to throw from shorter distances, and a fun, supportive environment where you can learn without stress.

No player has to use the shorter distance, but it will be available if you want it.

If enough players turn out for game night, the Club will have two groups – experienced players and developing players.

The Club stresses that “Cornhole should be fun, welcoming, and something everyone can enjoy – no matter where you’re starting from.”

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines and want to join the fun, this is your chance to give it a try.
