The Carruthers Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League is entering the semi-final round of playoffs.
The Alliston Hornets will be up against the Schomberg Cougars in their best-of-seven contest.
This is going to be one epic playoff battle, as both teams have had a solid season.
Alliston finished second in the regular season with a 30-9-1 record, including two overtime losses and 63 points.
Schomberg ended the season close behind in third place with a 28-11-1 record and 59 points.
Both teams won their quarter-final series in four games.
The Hornets knocked out the Penetang Kings with a 4-2 win in game four on Wednesday, Mar. 15, on Penetang home ice.
The Cougars dispatched the Huntsville Otters in four games, winning 5-0 in game four on Mar. 14.
The quarter-final series will begin on Alliston Home ice at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.
The Stayner Siskins will be up against the Orillia Terriers in the other semi-final series.
The Siskins finished the season in first place with a 36-4 record and 72 points. Stayner knocked out the Midland Flyers in four games in their best-of-seven quarter-final. The final game was played in Mildland on Tuesday, Mar. 14.
The Terriers won their quarter-final over the Innisfil Spartans in a series that went five games and ended with a 3-2 win on Friday, Mar. 17.
