Alliston Library will close for renovations

The Memorial Branch of the New Tecumseth Public Library in Alliston will be closed from Tuesday, Feb. 6, to Tuesday, Feb. 13.
The branch will be undergoing renovations and re-open on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 12:30 p.m. with an all-new look to celebrate the branch’s 100th anniversary.
A mini grand opening event will be held when the branch re-opens.
The re-opening will feature food and drink in the W.I. Room.
Author Carolyn Knowles will present and speak about her book, “Alliston on the Boyne: The Legacy of a Mill Town,” from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
There will also be a Friends of the Library information table, which will include the launch of a new writing contest.
