Alliston resident celebrates $100,000 lottery win

An Alliston man is $100,000 richer after matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the July 29, 2023 ONTARIO 49 draw.
Ronald O’Leary, a 73 year-old father of three, said that in addition to ONTARIO 49, he enjoys playing LOTTO MAX and the occasional INSTANT ticket. He has won some smaller prizes in the past but this is his largest win to date.
“I won on a free ticket,” Ronald said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up hi windfall.
Ronald said he checked his ticket on his computer and discovered that he won big. He then heade to the store to validate his win and begin the prize claim process.
“I shared the news with my children and brothers, and they were all so excited for me,” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Young Street in Alliston.
