It was a night to have some fun while potentially earning a big cash prize at the 46th annual CRIC Draw and Dance held at the Tottenham Community Centre, on Saturday, May 4.
All funds raised during the event go to support improvements to culture, sport, and recreation in the Tottenham Community.
This year the draw was live-streamed so ticket holders could watch at home. It was a sold-out event with over 1,000 tickets to the event being purchased.
Since 1979, CRIC has financially contributed to the success of many local facilities and organizations.
In recent years, CRIC has co-funded the installation of new lights at Coventry Park Ball Diamond #3, co-funded the installation of the TNT Disc Golf Course at the Tottenham Conservation Area, and funded the brand-new CRIC Idea Lab and Community Room at the Tottenham Library.
Tickets were drawn throughout the night in an elimination style with prizes announced.
As the evening wore on, the crowd got more excited as the big grand prize was still to be drawn and those whose tickets had not yet been drawn were still in the running for the big money.
This year, Sarah Hartley, was the big winner taking home the $20,000 Grand Prize.
Music for the evening was supplied by the band Your New Neighbours and DJ SamO of Dufferin DJs.
The CRIC Committee looks forward to hosting the 47th Annual Draw and Dance next year.
