Anytime Fitness Alliston recently held a “Fundraiser for Eva,” benefitting a local three-year-old girl with leukemia and her family.
The family friendly event was held in, and outside, of the gym, located beside East Side Mario’s last Monday Aug. 15, and included a charity barbecue, fire safety demonstrations, a bouncy castle, face painting, and a Masters Kangoo class.
The event raised $12,588 for the family, including proceeds from a silent auction, and donations from both individuals and local businesses.
“A lot of businesses were very generous with donations for our silent auction,” said Anytime Fitness representative, Hong Hughes. “We would like to thank Global Pet Foods, Sobeys, Michelle’s Hair Flair, Sunset Grill, Shoeless Joe’s, Smart Vapes, Landshark, All in One Supplements, Group of Seven painted mugs, New Tecumseth Optometry Clinic, Pita Pit, Boston Pizza, Rexall Pharmacy, Karma Salon, Beauty supply Outlet, Scentsy, Regal, 31 Bags, Gold Canyon, Epicure, Curl up N die and everyone else who contributed.
“I would also like to thank the businesses that donate food for this event, including Domino’s, McDonald’s East Side Mario’s, The Butcher Shop and more.”
Eva and her family were in attendance at the event, as was Mayor Rick Milne and Ward 5 Councillor, Donna Jebb.
