The Town of New Tecumseth has announced that applications are now open for the Mayor’s Student Bursary Program.

This program offers graduating students the opportunity to receive financial support for their post-secondary education or apprenticeship training.

Awarded annually, this program awards up to 12 bursaries of $2,000 each to eligible students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to their future goals.

Applicants must submit a completed application form, transcripts, references, and a 500-word essay outlining their future aspirations.

“Investing in our students means investing in the future of New Tecumseth,” said New Tecumseth Mayor Richard Norcross. “The Mayor’s Student Bursary Program is designed to help young people achieve their educational and career goals, and we are proud to celebrate their hard work and dedication.”

The deadline to apply for the Bursary Program is May 4, 2026.
