Arts on Main returns this month

Arts on Main, a juried art show and sale, celebrates its 17th year in New Tecumseth.
Using the window displays of local businesses in Tottenham, Beeton and Alliston, local artists will showcase their work from September 15 to October 5.
The public is invited to vote for their favourite piece by visiting the South Simcoe Art’s Council Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ssacarts4all.
“The theme for Arts on Main this year is Explorations. We want participants to look at this as a search for the purpose of discovery and to leave the pandemic behind,” said South Simcoe Arts Council President Jennifer Gilbert. “Arts on Main is one of our leading shows that features work of all mediums from Member and Non-Member artists. Participants receive adjudication and have a chance to win Best in Show and other prizes. We are excited for the 2022 show this fall and the opportunity to work with our partner businesses.”
In addition to the artwork being on display, the Arts Council will host a Meet the Artist day on September 24. This will be a family fun event encouraging the public to see the artwork throughout New Tecumseth and meet the artists.
A list of businesses participating in Arts on Main will be published towards the end of the summer at www.southsimcoeartscouncil.com.
