Just about everyone likes sweet desserts in all the different versions that they are available.
Christine Bianco of Beautiful Heaven Treats has an assortment of delicious baked goods that will satisfy any sweet tooth. She brought an assortment of her baking to the Tottenham Artisan & Farmer’s Market in Tottenham on Sunday, July 30, and quickly became a favourite with visitors to the market.
A relatively new business, Christine said she is still learning what customers like, although pretty much everything she offers has proven to be popular.
When baking her goods, her daughters Bellamay and Nevaeh help out, taking part in the entire process.
“We’re a home bakery,” Christine explained. “We’re still very new, we started in November to get everything ready. I was a self-taught baker for a lot of years and it just felt right to start. I love baking and my girls are super helpful – I have to remind myself of that when I get frustrated – they help with everything.”
When deciding to produce a large amount of baked goods, Christine knew she would need a larger commercial kitchen that provided everything she needed. She now works out of Westminster United Church in Orangeville, which has a commercial kitchen.
“We sell are a variety of cookies and things like granola balls which are gluten free,” Christine explained. “We also make our own marshmellows from scratch and we use maple syrup instead of corn syrup to keep it healthier. We make our own maple candy which we add to our cookies.”
They have a variety of different cookies, like pumpkin and maple cookies as well as other treats.
Christine said they plan to offer their goods at more locations in the region as they get busier and go to different markets, festivals, and events.
Beautiful Heaven Treats proved to be very popular with the crowd in Tottenham, who appreciated the quality and variety of sweet offerings.
