The Beeton Cookbook Club meets monthly to host discussions for foodies and share recipes, favourite cookbooks or tips and tricks they have learned during their cooking experiences.
Every month there is a different theme. For April, the theme is Cooking Techniques.
For April, you can learn about techniques like sous vide, pickling, smoking, and caramelizing, as well as many more tips for the kitchen.
The Cookbook Club is not a cooking demonstration. It is low-key, with no pressure, and listeners are welcome as well.
The Club’s members learn from each other and have fun trying new things in the kitchen. Food contributions are welcome but not necessary.
The program is for ages 16 and up with a maximum of 15 registrants.
A small selection of theme-related cookbooks will be on hold for Cookbook Club members at the Beeton D.A. Jones Branch of the New Tecumseth Public Library. The books are available one month before each meeting date.
You can stop by and ask for the cookbooks at the desk and check out any that you like.
Staff at the Alliston and Tottenham branches of the library are also happy to help you find related cookbooks in their branches.
The Beeton Cookbook Club will meet at the D.A. Jones branch in Beeton on Wednesday, April 23, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This is a free event.
