Beeton Athletic Association held their Beeton Stingers hockey banquet recently.
A thank you was extended to our sponsors, Shoppers Drug Mart Beeton, Beeton Foodland, Beeton Legion, K.D. Henry Inspections Ltd., Brian Thompson Excavating Ltd., W.D. Potatoe, Milligan Fuels and McCarthy Electric with team plaques being presented.
FAB (fundraising for a new community centre in Beeton) kicked off their contest for a new slogan for their t-shirts. BAA presented to FAB a cheque in memory of Jim Milligan. Ray Lisk and Rusty Woodward (FAB members) were present, along with Nancy Milligan.
Beginner team took home big smiles, pictures and trophies.
Esso medals were presented by the coaches. Most Improved – Elyse Morell, Natalie Seads, Mike Kowalinski, Colin Jones, Chris Bartucci. Most Dedicated were awarded to Grace Williamson, Zak Williamson, Ethan Aultman, Jake Jacob Pecarski. Most Sportsman players were Shaelyne Adams, Ava Dackiw, Brody Gould, Jack Richards, Amber McLenaghan.
BAA Most Valuable player medals were presented to Chase Sullivan, Cole Rij, Colin Roberts, Gordie Power, Steven Frezell.
All players were presented with Esso Achievement Certificates, and Hockey Hall Fame Ambassador of the Game Certificates.
Peewee Stingers, coaches by Marty Gould were SRLL A Division Consolation Champions and presented with picture plaques.
Atom 2 Stingers, coached by D.J. Muir were SRLL “A” Division Champions and presented with individual picture plaques and a teamplaque, engraved with everyone’s name for the trophy case in Beeton arena.
Glenn Bakalar Memorial Trophy, for the volunteer of the year will be presented to John Watt at a future date.
Thank you to all the coaching staffs for a great season.
