Bellissimo Family pledges $100,000 in support of new construction at local hospital

A pledge of $100,000 to Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s redevelopment campaign has been made by Chris and Meggie Bellissimo.

In recognition of their commitment, the Bellissimo family will have the opportunity to name a patient room once Stevenson Memorial Hospital is redeveloped. This creates a lasting legacy for their family while supporting healthcare in their community. 

For Chris, the decision is more than just making a donation. The pledge represents an investment in both the community’s future and the healthcare needs of generations to come.

“We wanted to do something that would have a lasting impact on our community and our family,” Chris Bellissimo said. “We hope our commitment inspires other families to come forward and be part of building the new Stevenson Memorial Hospital. This is a hospital that will serve our community for generations, and we all have an opportunity to help make that future possible.”

The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation is raising $80 million through its Because of You campaign to support the community’s share of the redevelopment, including the equipment, furniture, and fixtures needed to bring the new hospital to life. The total cost is $405 million. 

“Chis and Meggie’s generosity is a wonderful example of community leadership and what it means to invest in the future of a community,” said Dr. Ted Vandevis, CEO of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. 

“Their commitment is not only helping us bring the new hospital to life, but also sending an important message to other families: This is your hospital too, and there is a place for everyone in helping make it possible.”
