Blood donation events coming to Alliston and Tottenham later this month

Canadian Blood Services will be holding two blood donation events in Alliston and Tottenham in July.
Canada’s healthcare system is evolving with advancements in medicine, shifting demographics, and greater diversity.
This means that patient needs are changing.
Canadian Blood Services has an ambitious goal: 1 million new donors over the next five years.
Every day, patients across Canada rely on blood, plasma, stem cells, and organ and tissue donations to survive.
Only two per cent of eligible people in Canada donate.
However, donors report that giving has a profound impact on them. Giving helps them feel connected to the world and their community. It boosts mental health and provides a deep sense of purpose, value, and contribution.

Blood donation events:
- Alliston: Alliston Memorial Arena (49 Nelson Street West, Alliston) on Thursday, July 24, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Tottenham: Tottenham Community Centre (139 Queen Street North, Tottenham) on Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
