The kids will have a day off from school for an upcoming PA Day, so the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority is hosting a special day at the Tiffin Conservation Area to keep them busy.
A special edition of Camp Tiffin will provide a full day of activities adopted from its traditional summer camp program.
This special edition of Camp Tiffin encourages outdoor exploration and guided excursions in the forest fueled by student interest.
The day will be guided by student inquiry, seasonal changes, weather and program availability.
This camp will take place at the over 300-acre Tiffin Centre for Conservation.
The Conservation Area features a mixture of wetlands, forests, open meadows, and ancient lake beds that are homes for many plants and animals.
Activities for the day may include hiking, geocaching, nature games, arts and crafts, shelter building, and wilderness survival.
You can register for this event by visiting the NVCA website.
This special edition of Camp Tiffin will take place on Friday, Jan. 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Tiffin Centre for Conservation is located at 8195 8th Line, Utopia.
