While PA days give kids a break from school, they can still learn in different ways.

Camp Tiffin offers outdoor adventure and learning during school PA days. The next PA day camp is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 28.

At Camp Tiffin, kids will enjoy lots of physical activity and be mentally stimulated as they explore the scenery and landscapes. This is an excellent opportunity to get kids away from their device screens and learn about nature.

The PA days are adopted from the traditional summer camp program and encourage outdoor exploration and guided excursions in the forest. The programs are driven by student inquiry, seasonal changes, and weather and program availability.

The Camp Tiffin Centre for Conservation has over 300 acres that feature a mix of wetlands, forests, open meadows, and ancient lake beds. Kids will enjoy hiking, geocaching, nature games, shelter building and wilderness survival.

When attending the day camp, kids should arrive with appropriate clothing for the weather and being outdoors. This includes long pants and closed-toe shoes. They should also leave cell phones and other valuables at home as these have a tendency to get lost in the woods.

Registration is currently not available for mobile devices. You must register on a laptop or desktop using Google Chrome. If this is not available, you can e-mail outdoored@nvca.on.ca.

The day camp will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If necessary, extended care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
