Canada Day events planned in Alliston and Tottenham

Come out and celebrate the nation at Canada Day festivities throughout New Tecumseth. 

New Tecumseth–Gwillimbury MP Scot Davidson is hosting a big party at Riverdale Park in Alliston and inviting local residents to enjoy the day, celebrate our country, and have some fun.

The party will take place at the lower level of the park by the bandshell.

During the event, you can enjoy some hamburgers, free giveaways, ice cream, and snow-cones.

There will also be games for the kids and live music performed at the bandshell.

The party will take place at Riverdale Park in Alliston on Wednesday, July 1.

Festivities will get underway at 11:30 a.m. and continue to 1:30 p.m.

Looking to Tottenham, there is another great opportunity to celebrate Canada, have some fun, and meet new neighbours.

The Town of New Tecumseth is hosting Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday, July 1, at the Tottenham Conservation Area.

This will be an evening of family-friendly fun, live entertainment and community spirit.

“Canada Day is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate what makes New Tecumseth such a vibrant and welcoming place,” said Mayor Richard Norcross. “We look forward to seeing residents and visitors enjoy this exciting evening of entertainment, local vendors, and family fun.”

Attendees can explore a vibrant vendor market and food truck area, enjoy games and activities in the Kids Activity Zone, and take part in interactive experiences including face painting, glitter tattoos, inflatables, henna art, roaming mascots, and the Recreation Team Fun Zone.

A photo booth will also be available to capture memories from the day.

Festivities will get underway at 4 p.m. and offer something for everyone, regardless of age, in a scenic outdoor setting.

The event will conclude with a fireworks display lighting up the night sky over the pond.

The Tottenham Conservation Area is located at 6787 4th Line, Tottenham. 

Canada Day activities will conclude around dusk.
