CANNACO brings twist on cannabis store to Alliston

March 24, 2022   ·   0 Comments

One of Alliston’s newest businesses held a grand opening on Saturday, March 19, to let the public know they are now open and welcoming customers to their store.

CANNACO Cannabis opened its doors on Victoria Street East back in November and has quickly gained a customer base in town.

The store is one of four CANNACO locations around Ontario.

Something that is unique about the store is the fact that it is staffed entirely by women. All CANNACO stores have female employees.

“We’re really making a splash in the Alliston community,” said Chloe Tu, who owns the store along with her mother. “We really focus on women in cannabis – empowering women. All of our locations are female-run. It’s a value of ours – we want everyone to feel comfortable. We’re really trying to provide a very friendly, open space, for anyone of any experience level. You can be a rookie or a connoisseur and you can come in and you will feel comfortable.”

The store carries a “wide range of everything.”

“We have all kinds of flower, from low end to high,” Chloe explained. “We have edibles like cookies, chocolates, gummies, lots of gummies, oils, capsules, even topicals, and accessories. It’s a one-stop-shop. We have vapes as well – we can teach anyone how to use a vape. You can come in and have no idea what you’re doing and you can feel comfortable.”

CANNACO Cannabis is located at 42 Victoria Street E. In Alliston.
