If you enjoy seeing and buying unique handcrafted items, you can discover the remarkable talent of local artisans at the Simcoe County Quilt, Rug, and Artisan Fair, to be held at the Simcoe County Museum.
Guilds from across the region will be showcasing their finest handcrafted works at the fair.
You will see time-honoured traditions, including embroidery, quilting, spinning, weaving, lace making, rug hooking, pottery, and other crafts.
As you make your way through the fair, you can also browse the vibrant merchant’s market where you can stock up on materials, tools, and supplies. You will also find a wide selection of handcrafted pieces created by the skilled artisans who keep these traditions alive.
While you are visiting, you can enjoy a stroll through the picturesque museum grounds and explore a captivating collection of heritage buildings and artifacts from across Simcoe County.
The Simcoe County Quilt, Rug, and Artisan Fair will take place from Friday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Simcoe County Museum is located at 1151 ON-26, Minesing.
Admission to the event:
$10 for adults (21-64)
$8 for seniors (65+)
$8 for youth (12-20)
$5 for children (4-11)
Free for preschoolers and museum members.
