Infrastructure work at a large new development in Colgan is well underway.
The development site has two large subdivisions that are being constructed on both sides of Country Road 14, just west of the village of Colgan.
The land has already been levelled and a new roundabout has been built to accommodate traffic at what will be two main entrances to the neighbourhood.
Currently, crews are installing new sewer lines. The work will continue into the spring.
County Road 14 had been closed to traffic for several weeks, however, a notice delivered to area residents said efforts are being made to limit disruptions in traffic flow in the area.
The project, called Colgan Crossing, brings more than 640 new homes to the area and includes townhomes and detached homes.
Building permits were issued in October. The property is in Adjala-Tosorontio.
Construction machines arrived on site and started preparing the land in June of last year and work has been ongoing ever since.
The company has an office for Colgan Crossing at the south end plaza in Tottenham, and the Third Line.
