CONTACT Community Services is hosting a series for seniors in the upcoming months with a comprehensive selection of entertaining and informative free programs.

The programs are funded, in part, by the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program and the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Senior Program.

During these programs, seniors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of arts programs, learning seminars, health and safety training, cooking classes and live music provided by local experts at multiple locations in South Simcoe.

Most programs will include free takeaways to further enhance the experience while at home.

The creative fundamentals of these activities can directly develop and enhance seniors’ inventiveness and health through socialization with others while learning new ways to cope and keep connected with those they love.

Keeping Connected Seniors’ Wellness programs will have a long-lasting and positive impact on the overall community providing social engagement, personal stimulation, and a creative outlet in a group setting.

The programs will also help seniors learn coping strategies long-term, develop friendships, build confidence, and discover or re-engage in hobbies.

For more information on these seniors programs, contact Brenda Pufek by phone at 705-391-8540 or via e-mail at brenda@contactcommunityservices.ca.
