CONTACT Community Services has announced the launch of its 22nd annual Coats for Kids Campaign.
This is a local initiative aimed at ensuring that every child in South Simcoe can stay warm during the winter months.
Since its inception, Coats for Kids has been instrumental in providing free coats, snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens to children, teens, and families in need. This year, CONTACT is renewing its commitment to the community and encourages local residents to donate gently used or new winter wear.
Donations of winter outerwear can be dropped off at The Clothes Line store located at 55 Victoria Street West in Alliston.
CONTACT asks that all items be clean and in good condition. They accept all sizes of winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens.
Distribution of donated items will begin on Monday, Oct. 19, and continue through the month.
Families seeking winter gear are invited to reach out to CONTACT to inquire about availability.
“For over two decades, Coats for Kids has served as a vital resource for families experiencing financial challenges during the coldest months of the year,” said Carey Paulusma, store manager of The Clothes Line.
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our community and encourage everyone to help us make this year’s campaign our most successful one yet.”
Whether you are clearing out your closets or seeking to contribute to a worthy cause, your donation can make a difference.
CONTACT also welcomes financial donations to help purchase new winter gear for children in urgent need.
