County of Simcoe Paramedic Services have launched their annual “Paramedic for a Day” contest in commemoration of Paramedic Services Week, which runs from May 18 to 25.
Grade 5 and 6 students residing in Simcoe County are asked to write a short essay that speaks to the theme, ‘We Care. For Everyone.’
The essay should be a maximum of 250 words and follow the theme of the many ways paramedics support diverse communities.
The winning entry will be announced during Paramedic Services Week with the winner receiving a visit to their home or school from a paramedic and the chance to go on an ambulance tour.
The crew will present the winner with a First-Aid Kit and take part in a mock scenario and photo opportunity.

Be sure to include the student’s name, the name of their parent or guardian, their phone number, and which school they attend.
