Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH), in partnership with community physicians, is extending the operation of its COVID-19, Cold and Flu Clinic to include Saturdays.
The new day and hours started on Dec. 24, with clinic hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The clinic is available for anyone who is experiencing mild to moderate or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 or flu and would like to receive in-person care.
“This is an excellent option for families in need of health care over the holidays and beyond,” said Jody Levac, president and CEO of SMH. “If anyone is experiencing cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms and would like to see a physician, they can book an appointment for the clinic and avoid waiting in our Emergency Department. This will support our Emergency Department as well and help offset some of the pressure they are experiencing.”
Appointments are required to access the clinic. They can be booked online at stevensonhospital.ca or by calling 249-501-0383.
The clinic is located in the lower parking lot of the hospital in Alliston. The clinic will also continue to operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Upon arrival, patients are asked to remain in their vehicle and call the clinic to inform staff of their arrival.
For safety purposes, staff will inform the patient when they can enter.
