If you need farm equipment or just a snow thrower for around the house, Equipment Ontario has opened a huge new dealership just south of Alliston that has pretty much everything you need.

From small units for home use to massive machines designed for large farming operations, they have the equipment for every job.

A large turnout of local residents arrived at the store for the grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 28.

There was a lot of interest from local farmers who appreciated having a store with farm equipment so close to where they lived.

Equipment Ontario is the result of two different businesses joining together to better serve farmers and homeowners in the province. This is the sixth store that Equipment Ontario has opened.

“This is a new location for us, and this is our grand opening,” explained Carson Brown, one of the store’s owners. “We have everything from walk-behind snow blowers to large satellite-guided combines. We have everything for the basic homeowner right up to 15,000 plus acre farms.”

In addition to sales, they have full maintenance services.

“We have service technicians and parts people,” Carson said. “We have mobile service. We’re a full-fledged service dealer, we service what we sell. We have the parts that people may need for the equipment we sell.”

A new farm equipment dealership is a big deal for a rural agricultural area and many farmers turned out for the grand opening.

“There’s a lot of local farmers here at the grand opening and a lot of customers that we’ve dealt with in the past, and a lot of new faces,” Carson said. “If farmers need some parts, they can get them right here instead of driving for a long distance. We [are] based on [a] business model on customer service. We have been offering local residents customer service remotely over the past three years, now this raised the bar so we can serve our customers better. This is a great agricultural area and has a strong agriculture area. It is all precision-guided agriculture now. Everything is GPS-guided.”

The new Equipment Ontario store is a welcome addition to the town.

Equipment Ontario is located at 4503 Simcoe County Rd. 50, Loretto, just south of Alliston.
