You can take a step back in time at the Simcoe County Museum with its authentic Victorian Christmas event, a fun time for the entire family.
The event recreates what Christmas looked like, sounded like, and tasted like during the Victorian era.
You can stroll along the lantern-lit pathways and explore the decorated heritage buildings as you warm up with a hot drink.
There will be horse-drawn wagon rides through the snow-covered forest.
Inside, you can enjoy a show on the antique Magic Lantern or join in with the carolers at the 150-year-old church on site.
There will be local artisans available with one-of-a-kind items that make terrific Christmas gifts or just pick something up for yourself.
The day will be filled with the sounds of traditional Christmas music to fill the air with holiday cheer.
The Simcoe County Museum will host Victorian Christmas on Thursday, Dec. 8, and Friday, Dec. 9, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Admission is by donation with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Simcoe County Museum which support the Museum through fundraising, volunteering, and assistance with special events.
Visitors are encouraged to bring donations for the Barrie Food Bank and the Simcoe County Paramedics Christmas Toy Drive.
