Of the 20 municipalities listed for Simcoe County, all currently have a rating of moderate as of July 31.
Four municipalities that previously had a high rating have returned to a moderate rating.
Residents are encouraged to monitor the local Fire Danger Rating, as it may change suddenly during the summer season.
Fire Danger Ratings and burning bans are issued at the discretion of local Fire Services.
If a fire rating is high, a burn ban may be in place.
A burn ban may include all fires, including those where permits have been issued.
If you do have an outdoor fire, it must be tended to at all times. A bucket of water or an extinguishing system must be nearby.
Make sure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the area.
Be aware of current Fire Danger Ratings in your region and follow any orders that have been issued regarding outdoor fires.
