Grandmothers Embrace South Simcoe is looking for donations for their annual fall sale.

The sale features jewellery, purses, and scarves that will be available for purchase in support of the local organization.

Grandmothers Embrace donates the proceeds of the sale to the Stephen Lewis Foundation, supporting African grandmothers who are raising their orphaned grandchildren.

Many children in Africa have been orphaned due to the AIDS epidemic, leaving older women to look after them.

If you have items you would like to donate to the sale, you can call the following numbers.

For jewellery, call Jan at 705-250-1100. For purses and scarves, call Marg at 705-434-1827 or Sharron at 705-435-0809.

They will let donors know the location to drop off items.

The sale date is Saturday, Nov. 8, and it will be held at St. John’s United Church in Alliston.

More information will be available as the date gets closer.
