Hip concert to air live in Tottenham

August 17, 2016   ·   0 Comments

As many Canadians know, The Tragically Hip have just finished their cross country tour and they will be performing their last concert in their hometown of Kingston, this Saturday, Aug. 20. The chance to share this truly iconic national celebration inspired Tottenham resident Colleen Rideout who saw this as an opportunity to share this historical event with the community and also as a chance to help foster change, through fighting cancer. HIP in the Park will take place in Keogh Park, Tottenham from 5 p.m. to midnight. It is a free event, and volunteer donations to the Gord Downie Brain Cancer Research Fund will be accepted and/or one can donate online through the Sunnybrook website. Just search “Residents of Tottenham and New Tecumseth.” There will be both live music and vendors. Please arrive early, as capacity will be limited. There will be no parking adjacent to the Park on Mill Street East. For more details, follow HIP in the Park on Facebook at HIP Events Inc.
