Honda Canada donated $35,000 to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation to support the hospital’s critical equipment needs.

The donation marks the company’s 35 years of production in Canada.

Honda of Canada Mfg. And Honda Canada Foundation have been long-time supporters of the Stevenson Foundation. In 2017, HCF pledged $4 million to the SMHF in support of the redevelopment of the hospital.

“This is such a monumental time for South Simcoe,” said Clement D’Souza, Director, Honda Canada Foundation and Executive Vice President, Honda of Canada Mfg. “With the Ministry of Health’s announcement that Stevenson received Stage 2 Approval, we know that a revitalized hospital is getting closer. We are proud to continue our support of the hospital’s critical equipment needs.”

The “Because of you, we can” campaign is the largest campaign in the SMHF’s history. It supports redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

“Just as South Simcoe is fortunate to have a community hospital close to home, we are equally fortunate to have one of the largest private-sector employers in Simcoe County, right here in Alliston,” said Mary Thomas, CEO of SMHF. “Having the support of HCM Leadership and Associates, is invaluable. We are very proud to have Honda as our partner.”
