The Alliston Potato Festival in partnership with the Alliston Firefighters Association has announced the first-ever Alliston Potato Festival Vintage Fire Truck Show will take place at the festival this year.
This new event promises a spectacular showcase of historic fire trucks celebrating the history of fire services and first responders.
With space limited to 50 registered vehicles, participants are encouraged to secure their spot early. Eligible vehicles must be older than 1990.
This will be an exclusive gathering of classic and well-preserved fire truck vehicles.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Beatties Distillers, the cash and gift card prize pool is $1,500. The pool will be split among several category winners.
There will be a series of day-long events running alongside the Vintage Fire Truck Show, including firefighting skill challenges where participants can test their abilities and compete for prizes.
The Potato Festival is one of Alliston’s most anticipated annual events, drawing large crowds and fostering community spirit. The addition of the Vintage Firetruck Show is expected to add a lot of fun to the festival with hopes of making it a permanent feature going forward.
To mark this special occasion, attendees can purchase an inaugural event T-shirt as a keepsake.
Interested vehicle owners must complete the registration form by May 1, 2025, to secure a spot.
