If you are looking for some fun summer activities for the kids that won’t cost a lot of money, the Kiwanis Club of South Simcoe is hosting its third annual Teddy Bear picnic at PPG Park in Alliston.
The day will feature a full line-up of fun for kids.
There will be games, face painting and Lusan Farm Babies for the kids to meet.
The Kiwanis Club is fairly new to the region. As an international club, Kiwanis members are focused on helping children worldwide.
“This is our third annual Teddy Bear Picnic,” explained Kiwanis Club of South Simcoe member Julia Levine. “We started the picnic as soon as we started the club. We do things for kids. It’s a fun luncheon for families. We have face painting, we have critters coming and a whole bunch of games. We have draws and all sorts of prizes. It’s very much an old fashioned picnic. It’s just meant to be a fun day. It’s a free event. No one attending has to worry about having money. We just want them to come and have fun. It’s for families. A lot of grandparents bring their grandchildren.”
The day will also feature music and a free lunch.
The Kiwanis Club of South Simcoe Teddy Bear Picnic will take place on Saturday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the pavilion in PPG Park behind the Alliston Fire Station.
This is a rain-or-shine event, so you can attend no matter what the weather is like.
