Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will host an information session as part of certification process

The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will host a public open house to share information and provide an opportunity for the public to get information or share feedback about the certification process required for the Airport to meet safety standards.

The Airport applied for Airport Certification to Transport Canada on September 14, 2023, and the session is part of the certification process.

This initiative aligns with the Airport’s Strategic Plan and underscores the Airport’s commitment to meeting regulatory safety standards. Certification demonstrates that the Airport’s operations and facilities comply with Transport Canada’s requirements and will ensure the highest level of safety and service for the public.

Public engagement is a vital component of the certification process. Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and ask questions during the event.

If you are unable to attend, you can also submit comments virtually until July 26, 2025. Comments can be submitted via email at airportfeedback@simcoe.ca or through an online submission form.

The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport public session will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the terminal building.

The airport is located at 30 Airport Road, Oro Medonte.
