Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will host an open house as part of the certification process

If you have an interest in aviation or would just like a tour of the airport, the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will host a public open house to share information and provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions.
The Airport applied for Airport Certification to Transport Canada on Sept. 14, 2023, and the open house is part of the certification process.
This initiative aligns with the airport’s Strategic Plan and underscores its commitment to meeting regulatory safety standards.
Certification demonstrates that the Airport’s operations and facilities comply with Transport Canada’s requirements and ensure the highest level of safety and service for the public.
Public engagement is a vital component of the certification process. Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and ask questions during the event.
The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport public open house will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the terminal building.
The airport is located at 30 Airport Road, Oro Medonte.
If you are unable to attend, you can also submit comments virtually until July 26, 2025. Comments can be submitted via email at airportfeedback@simcoe.ca or through an online submission form.
