The County of Simcoe has commenced leaf and yard waste collection across the region, beginning the weeks of April 6 and 13, depending on your garbage collection week.

Residents will receive four weeks of collection throughout April and May, occurring bi-weekly and coinciding with garbage collection weeks.

Residents are asked to place leaf and yard waste out by the curb by 7:00 a.m., on Monday of your collection week. Collection may occur any day during the week, so please be patient and leave your leaf and yard waste curbside if it’s not collected on your exact garbage day.

The final weeks of leaf and yard waste collection are May 18 and May 25.

Leaf and yard waste includes leaves, grass, garden waste, and branches that are appropriately sized and bundled.

Residents are reminded to use kraft paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers for collection. Brush must be bundled and secured properly.

For up-to-date information and notices regarding collections, download the Simcoe County Collects App.
