The Town of New Tecumseth declared April 10 as Lions Clubs Centennial Celebration Day. As such, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the Town Hall on Monday, in honour of the Alliston Lions Club – a member of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization with 1.4 million members in 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917 and is celebrating 100 years of humanitarian service.
