List of candidates for the local municipal 2026 election

The Ontario municipal elections are still two months away, but the deadline to file as a candidate has passed and a full list is available of those seeking election to New Tecumseth council in 2026.
There are some new entries in the race this week.
All wards have at least two candidates running.
Municipal elections elect a mayor, deputy mayor, councillors, and school board trustees.
In Ontario, municipal elections will be held on Oct. 26, 2026.
Candidates were certified on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026.
