The Tottenham Beeton District Minor Softball Association (TBDMSA) will be offering members a free pitching clinic to learn how to windmill pitch or improve their softball pitching skills.
The clinic is part of the Association’s commitment to player development.
Space is limited to 12 players per session and on a first come, first serve basis.
The instructor is Sasha Haughian. Sasha started windmill pitching at the age of eight in Ladner, British Columbia where she played in the Woman’s A division. Moving to Ontario, she continued to play with the Aurora Woman’s Softball Association until her children were old enough to play themselves, and she got involved with coaching the sport.
In 2022, Sasha successfully coached TBDMSA Bantam-age players on how to windmill pitch.
“Leaning to pitch windmill helps to develop an athlete not only physically, but mentally as well,” Sasha said.
The pitching clinics will take place each Thursday, from Feb. 9 to March 30 from 6:15 p.m., to 7:45 p.m. at the Tottenham Community Centre gym.
The clinic is open to TBDMSA members born in the following years.
U10 division: 2013, 2014, 2015
U14 division: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012
U19 division: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Registration for the 2023 softball season is required.
